Design a Cloud-based Self-inspection System of Equipment Safety in Specific Industry

  • Publication Date:2017-09-30

Manufacturing industry has the highest occupational hazard rate in our country. Due to
employees’ interaction with excessive machinery equipment in factories, there is a question of
how to implement self-safety examinations and prevent machines from breaking down or artificial
errors. Actually, most factories nowadays run the self-safety examinations artificially by using check
verifying, inspection, and logging in. This approach consumes time and inefficiency. The objectives
of this study are to guide PCB and metal finishing industry that establish inspection database system
of the production equipment and health of the operation environment. The system can reach the
goal of reducing occupational disaster through propagandize efforts of related associations of such
industry. The inspection item in the checklist for each equipment include laws and regulation, relevant
information from occupational hazard, literatures, and engineering experience etc. In addition, this
work uses modern information techniques such as handheld intelligent devices to develop information
system assisting district safety inspection. Furthermore, there are already 5 factories on trial to this
system. The result show that this approach can improve the difficulties of the automatic inspection in
industry and elevate managing efficiency.
