The Division of Occupational Safety mainly focuses on areas including safety policies, safety regulations, safety inspection technology, chemical safety, mechanical and electrical safety, construction safety, fire and explosion prevention techniques, disaster prevention system, and safety protection equipment. The main research directions are: continue to develop occupational injury evaluation technology that improves analysis and investigation of occupational injuries, understand related safety issues in domestic industries in order to develop incident preventive technology, introduce and localize international safety applications and management techniques, in aim to create an accident-free working environment for Taiwan’s workers, reducing casualties of occupational accidents.
