This is the first study to build a real-time detection module for hazardous materials, and physical and mental health parameters in the workplace of the construction industry around the world. The hazardous materials include particulate matter with concentrations of less than or equal to 10 μm (PM10), 4 μm (PM4), ozone (O3), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), and total volatile organic compounds (TVOCs) Moreover, physical and mental health sensors can measure, analyze, and evaluate time domain and frequency domain heart rate variability index, and electroencephalography signals including delta wave, theta wave, alpha wave and beta wave. This device can be used to assess the personal exposure concentration of hazardous substances, and the psychological pressure as well as depression of workers, and to provide immediate warning of the workers’ health hazards.
